ASVAB

The ASVAB, or, Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery is a standardized test that you must take prior to joining the Montana Army National Guard. This test will measure your knowledge in eight different areas:

Area Description
General Science Life, earth, space, and physical sciences
Arithmetic Reasoning Ability to solve basic math and word problems
Word Knowledge Ability to grasp the meaning of words through synonyms
Paragraph Comprehension Ability to understand written material
Mathematics Math concepts and applications
Electronics Electrical current, circuits, devices and electonic systems
Auto and Shop Car maintenance and repair, and wood and metal shop
Mechanical Principles of mechanical devices, structural support, properties of material

The ASVAB is timed and takes about 3 ½ hours to complete. It is a good idea to practice prior to the ASVAB to make sure you have a good understanding of the test materials. Below is the link to take a practice ASVAB.
