PRIOR SERVICE INFORMATION
Do you have prior service in the military and the desire to continue using those skills on a part-time basis? You and the
Montana Army National Guard would truly benefit from your continued service. You can benefit from being a member of
our organization
with getting credit towards your millitary service and possibly getting promoted- as well as activating and increasing your retirement benefits.
If you were in a military service other than the United States Army you will need to attend an Army Warrior Training Course
but it is not as long as the regular Army Basic Training Course that new enlistees attend and will get you up to speed on
being a Soldier.
As a member of the Montana Army National Guard you will be able to answer the Governor's call by performing active duty federal service when disaster strikes. You may even be able to answer the President's call by being asked to go overseas for various missions. The Guard truly is the service of choice because you answer the call of duty for both state and federal missions.
